Description
Remote Tactrix/OpenPort tuning allows ECU software calibration without the need for per-vehicle licensing. This makes it a flexible option for supported Mitsubishi platforms, especially vehicles where traditional commercial tuning support is limited or no longer actively developed.
This service works directly with the vehicle’s original ROM, HEX, or BIN file. Because we are working with raw ECU data, additional tables, limits, compensations, and control logic can often be discovered, defined, and calibrated through research, reverse engineering, development, and validation.
Remote tuning is performed using your exact ECU file and datalogs from your vehicle. The general process is:
You read the stock ROM from your ECU
You send the ROM file and vehicle information
You flash the updated calibration
You send datalogs for review
Revisions are made based on the data provided
Remote tuning is not the same as in-person or dyno tuning. With remote tuning, I can only calibrate based on the ROM, setup information, and logs you provide. I am not physically inspecting the vehicle, measuring air/fuel ratio directly, or verifying mechanical conditions in person.
For lightly modified naturally aspirated vehicles, remote tuning or mail-in flashing may be enough to provide a reliable improvement in power, torque, throttle response, and drivability. More complex setups may require in-person calibration, wideband air/fuel verification, additional logging, or custom development before they can be properly supported.
Because every ROM and vehicle setup can be different, proper development and verification are critical. Definition work, table discovery, scaling, logging, safety checks, and testing are all part of building a reliable calibration.
